Prospective students must be at least 18 years of age when they apply. Along with the completed application form, applicants must provide the following information:
- A résumé (curriculum vitae)
- Transcripts proving that they have a high school diploma or its equivalent
- Any other school transcripts, where applicable
- Other relevant materials as indicated in the application form
- A recent photo for our records
Once we receive your completed application, you will be invited to an interview. From there, the academic advisor or executive director will discuss your personal goals, your professional qualifications and the information you provided.

During your studies, NHC Institute will periodically evaluate your progress to ensure that you are on the right path and that you are fulfilling the requirements of your curriculum. A formal application is required should students want to switch from the Personal Interest program to a Certificate or Diploma. Students may arrange to meet with the academic advisor at any time to review their curriculum.
The evaluation process occurs in three stages.
