Experiential Meditation Techniques for Therapists
Meditation moves us into the world and into a direct experience with what is happening right now. When we are with clients our awareness of the here and now becomes primary to create the necessary space for healing. This awareness and inquiry into the present moment serves as the container which allows for true health to emerge. But how do we deal with the ‘me’ that always gets in the way? Where do we place our attention, our intentions and our focus? How do we continue to evolve and grow both as therapists and in our personal lives?
In this therapist training course, students will explore active listening, energy observation, the heart of compassion, dis-identification, and body-centered practices. Students will learn how to work with various stress-related conditions. Students will also delve into the ‘mindful revolution’, exploring the most recent research and developments in the field of body-mind medicine. Through dyad work, personal inquiry, case taking examples and lecture presentations, each student will learn new approaches and techniques to incorporate into their own healing work. Come experience your very own mindful revolution!
