Continuing the holistic perspective taught in Nutrition I, this course aims to develop basic knowledge of nutrition as a way of staying healthy. The course covers the ecological, biochemical and physiological aspects of nutrients and foods. It looks at the six classes of nutrients and their roles in the body’s functioning. It also addresses nutritional needs throughout the life cycles from conception to longevity.
