Karen Runnels
Herbalist
Karen Runnels is a Chartered Herbalist from the Dominion Herbal College of Canada, a graduate of Natural Health Consultant Institute of Montreal and holds a degree in Education from McGill University. She has been giving workshops and lectures on health and wellness, medicinal herbs and everyday practical use of plants for the past 20 years. She has a small home cottage business selling natural, chemical free plant based cosmetic products. She is a passionate gardener, a member of the executive committee of the Beaconsfield Garden Club. She is a newly retired Physical Education teacher from Vanier College who continues teaching Aqua Fitness classes to college employees and contractual teaching with colleagues in Outdoor Education courses. She spends her summers working part time at the West Island Nursery as well as doing landscaping, garden design and maintenance for private homes in the West Island.
