Fiction: All treatments have a placebo effect.

Fact: In 1997, UK medical journal The Lancet published a detailed meta-analysis demonstrating that nearly 50% of clinical trials reported homeopathy to be significantly more effective than placebo.

Developed by 18th-century German physician Samuel Hahnemann, homeopathy is unique for its curative methods. It applies the Law of Similars, whereby a remedy for one client’s ailment produces the same symptoms in another person who is not sick.

On the other hand, conventional medicine observes the Law of Opposites, where medication is designed to respond to a deficiency.

Homeopathic remedies prompt the body’s innate ability to heal itself. They are derived from natural matter, such as plants, minerals or animals. After, they are highly diluted so that the resulting treatment only contains the energetic imprint of the substance from which it was formulated.

Before a remedy is chosen, practitioners and clients engage in an involved and personalized therapeutic process that explores the person, not the disease. Homeopathy aims to determine the psychological origins of a given illness, and the core experience of a person’s suffering. This empowering exercise allows clients to take an active role in their own healing.

Homeopathy is a tremendously effective treatment for people of all ages, for both physical and emotional illnesses, and in first aid or chronic cases. It’s even been used to treat domestic animals, such as dogs, cats and horses. Wild animals like reptiles, birds and rodents have also benefited from homeopathy.
